This pdf pattern is for a knit baby nightgown. It has a gathered bottom with a casing and elastic.

There are two options for the sleeves- a set in sleeve and a gathered sleeve. The sleeves have a cuff, so does the neck with two different ways to do a cuff on the sleeve.

We recommend using interlock knit, as jersey knit doesn’t stretch as well. Jersey knit can be used on the gown, but not on the cuffs. If using a jersey knit they need to use a ribbing type knit for the neck and sleeve cuffs.

Instructions are included for 3 ways to stitch the gown. The pattern shows making the gown out of a print knit with no embellishment, then using an embroidery only design on the bodice (blue gown w/lil mister example), and finally with a large embroidery and then ribbon at the waist area and adding a bow with an embellishment in the center of the bow (pink gown with frame and charly example). Embroidery designs are SOLD SEPARATELY.

There are 22 pages of full-color step-by-step instructions and pattern pieces. Also included are directions on when to add embroidery if you choose to do that.

While we do not offer our designs in .ART format, it has been confirmed by a Bernina representative that .dst files can be opened and re-saved into .art format for Bernina machines to read. Again, we only offer this information as a resource for customers needing .art format. We cannot support files once they have been reformatted. Please note – these are digitized embroidery designs and monogram fonts. They are not patches that you sew on. You must have an embroidery machine to work with these files and a way to transfer the files from your computer to your embroidery machine - (usb, memory card, cd, etc.). With the monogram alphabets/fonts each letter is a separate design and you must layer or merge the designs together to create names or words. If the software that you are working with doesn't allow you to merge multiple designs together – you may need additional software to utilize these sets. We are happy to recommend software to use if needed. We DO NOT support files that have been saved into a format that is not offered and we cannot test. Designs that have been re-sized will not be supported. Re-sizing a file MAY compromise the integrity of the design. Due to the digital nature of our business, we do not offer refunds for designs received. All sales are final.
