  This pdf pattern is for a knit baby nightgown.  It has a gathered bottom with a casing and elastic.     There are two options for the sleeves- a set in sleeve and a gathered sleeve.  The sleeves have a cuff, so does the neck with two different ways to do a cuff on the sleeve.  We recommend using interlock knit, as jersey knit doesn’t stretch as well.  Jersey knit can be used on the gown, but not on the cuffs.  If using a jersey knit they need to use a ribbing type knit for the neck and sleeve cuffs.  Instructions are included for 3 ways to stitch the gown.  The pattern shows making the gown out of a print knit with no embellishment, then using an embroidery only design on the bodice (blue gown w/lil mister example), and finally with a large embroidery and then ribbon at the waist area and adding a bow with an embellishment in the center of the bow (pink gown with frame and charly example).  Embroidery designs are SOLD SEPARATELY.  There are 22 pages of full-color step-by-step instructions and pattern pieces.  Also included are directions on when to add embroidery if you choose to do that.  Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner  Sizes Included: Preemie, Newborn, 3 Months, and 6 Months.
